Why come to our studio for your family portrait
Being a family run business with young children ourselves we know your family is the most important thing in your life and to capture the moment in time with beautiful award winning photography is something you will treasure for the rest of your life. It has to said it is not uncommon for some parents to shed a tear or two when it comes to viewing their own family’s photographs because of the emotions it can bring out.
We pride ourselves on making the experience fun and enjoyable. The majority of people who come to the studio seem to feel a little apprehensive at first but they always say how much fun it was and how comfortable they felt about the whole thing. Having photographed thousands of people I know that to get the best from people they need to relax and enjoy the session.
Unlike some of the bigger studios where they have multiple photographers when you come to us you know it will be Paul taking the photos and it is very much a personal touch you will experience by coming to our studio.
We want you to have great photography that not only you will be proud of but know you possess something quite special and beyond just a mere photo but have a piece of art that stands as decorative piece for the home as well. I am proud to say that in 2012 I was the overall winner of the photographer of the year for Master Photographer’s Assoc South East Region for one of my photography.
We invite you to come to our studio and wish you a warm welcome to Paul Johnson-Family portrait photographer Kent!
What does a family shoot consist of?
At Paul Johnson – Family portrait photographer Kent studio, you can attend with up to 10 people. If you do have more you want to attend a photo session then please ask as we may be able to work something out. We will photograph the whole family as one big group and in most cases would do several different poses. We will then do various permutations of those attending such as parents together, siblings together, all the females all the males, grandparents with grandchildren and then individuals. It’s not uncommon for me to shoot in excess of 200 photos. A family session usually last three quarters and hour to one and a half hours.
Following the shoot we will edit the photographs and prepare them for your viewing. We usually show around 50-90 photos of what was taken. Your viewing session will take 1 -2 hours and these would ordinarily take place 1-2 weeks after the photography session. At the viewing we will give you a slide show of the photos on our projection screen and the help you edit the choice down to your favorites and then we can show framing ideas for multiple photos or canvases and acrylic frames.
